Technology has become ubiquitous. Increasingly, data, algorithms and platforms are the lines of flight in our digital environment. But always less expensive, always more available, technology is also a delicate resource to exploit.
Because it is precisely when whole sections of human activity are automated and optimized, that the creative gesture regains all its strength. Machines complement and surpass us in many ways, but there is one thing they will never be able to produce: the unexpected.
At Source, we believe the role of the designer & developers is to ensure that complexity does not lead to chaos.
We provide the link between form and object, between technology and the human. And while design took off at the same time as the industrial age, it was never itself an
industrial discipline. The design has always kept something artisanal in its foundations.
Source is an office of transverse designers.
We are convinced that the overall mastery of our discipline can only be acquired through the conquest of ever more demanding technical skills and know-how. The sense of detail and the overall vision are not opposed: they complement each other. It is by confronting the material that ideas are sharpened.
We see our profession as a profession of excellence, to which we make it our duty to introduce our clients, from start-ups to large groups. Because design is not an ornamental issue that we can afford to relegate to the end of the chain.
